Where to Start
*Ask friends and family for recommendations of mortgage professionals to speak with about getting pre-approved
*Get pre-approved so you know what type of loan, how much you're approved for, and what type of downpayment you will need
*Make sure to factor in closing costs
*Hire an agent you can trust to help you through the process
What You Will Need
1. Pre-approval from a mortgage company or bank
2. Saved up downpayment & closing costs
3. MLS access from a real estate agent to get new listings as soon as possible
4. A good buyer's agent ready, willing, and able to help you see homes on your schedule that can negotiate favorable terms for you
5. Flexibility with the process - nothing is ever set in stone. Buying a home will test your patience level A LOT. LOL
