Blog > Best Brunch Spots in Central Mass and Northeastern Connecticut
I am a HUGE foodie and LOVE myself some brunch! In fact, it’s my favorite meal of the day! Well….not every day, but hopefully at least once a month! I saw a friend of mine post the question last week – Where is the best brunch spot? I have that covered!
My all-time favorite brunch place is The Hare and the Hound located in Putnam, Connecticut. It’s a short drive from Worcester, Sturbridge, Killingly, and beyond and it’s well worth it! It’s an Irish-style pub with amazing brunch every weekend featuring breakfast pizzas, waffles, stuffed french toasts, ALL kinds of different flavors of mimosas, and my favorite brunch drink – Bloody Marys!

If I have to pick a close second, I am ALWAYS going with Charlie’s Diner in Spencer Massachusetts! I cannot say no to their coconut french toast and amazing, homemade corned beef hash! You can also get yummy brunch cocktails so it’s a win-win for sure! Fun fact, Charlie’s Diner used to be located in Worcester and actually catered my brother-in-law’s wedding many years before I met the family! So cool!
Lastly, if you’re willing to go for a little longer ride and make a day of it, Junior’s Restaurant and Bakery located at Foxwoods in Connecticut is well worth the trip! They also have some of the best, homemade corned beef I’ve ever had and some of the best Bloody Marys I’ve ever had, too! That’s our go-to whenever we spend the night after a great show or a night of dining and a little video craps playing.
What’s your favorite brunch spot? I am always looking for new places to try!
